circa June of 1899 Green Glass Cup Souvenir of the Syria Temple of Pittsburgh PA ~ handed out to the attendees of their 1899 Buffalo New York National Convention

A little bit of history:
From searching around on the internet, it looks like the members of Syria Temple of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania had proudly attended every single yearly national convention since the founding of this men's organization in 1876, and on through to this year of 1899. The 1899 National Convention of t
he Syria Temple
was convened in Buffalo New York on June 14, 1899, and these green figural stem glass souvenirs would have been handed out to all the Pittsburgh Syria Temple members that attended the convention as a memento of that event.
Condition:
This 122+ year old piece of history has been closely inspected and is free of cracks, chips, flea-bites, etc. - the glass is in excellent original condition. I believe this glass souvenir was made by the Westmoreland Glass Co. of Grapeville Pennsylvania, but can not confirm absolutely.

) represents the convention's location at the German-American Hall in Buffalo New York. The other side reads "
SYRIA TEMPLE ~ PITTSBURG, PA. ~ JUNE, 1899

). These two reflective gold graphics applied onto the green glass are pretty pristine, see closeup photos 3 & 4 and others. There is a very little bit of possible light wear in a few areas of the reflective silver & gold deco seen at very close view, but may be what it looked like originally. This is an excellent very fine example of this 1899 piece, and a very displayable small snapshot of our U.S. history.
