This listing is for at least 12 pounds (We fill the box as full as we can) of mixed sized mozarkite.  You will get many pieces of chert mozarkite of various shades. Perfect for knapping, cabbing, flintlocks and Survival Fire Starting. While some pieces could be suitable for knapping, some pieces may not be right for arrowheads. Natural hand picked pieces to give you assorted sizes large,medium and small for many Flint projects from arrowhead to spear size. We don’t process the material so layers of chalk or sandstone may need to be broke away, but you won’t get overloaded in junk rock either! We always try to fill the boxes so we go over the 12lb listing and usually end up at 14-15 lbs per order!
PLEASE BE CAREFUL: As this Chert is razor sharp! Please wear safety glasses when chipping or working with rock! We are not responsible for careless handling or injuries. Many of our repeat customers purchase our rock for decorating gardens, terrariums, etc.
High Quality AMERICAN Ozark Chert
This chert comes straight from my private ranch in the American Ozarks.  This area of the US is known for high quality chert that is both strong and beautiful. Colors vary from box to box and these photo's give you a good idea of what you'll receive. Most is off white and light to dark gray mix.
NOTE: Not all chert pieces is suitable for "Arrowheads" due to imperfections and voids due to nature, but you'll get a nice assortment to work with. This is not a guarantee that you will be making Arrowheads from these rocks. You will get an assortment of pieces ranging in size from an inch or two up to over 6”. Pieces are rinsed of loose dirt, but these are straight from the ground and have veins of sediment which can processed out with some work on your end. 75%-85% usable material is average in our boxes. Heat treating the rock will make knapping arrowheads easier and result in a better looking tool. We’ve seen some finished arrowheads from our customers that are absolutely breathtaking!
We have found plenty of arrowheads from the Osage Indians on our land that match the chert we sell perfectly. A couple shown in photos BUT NOT INCLUDED!

Normally I accept returns, but these are rocks.....I don't accept returns on rocks. PLEASE LOOK AT THE PHOTO's CAREFULLY AND MAKE SURE THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT! I don’t want to come across as being unreasonable, but these are rocks dug out of the ground. .70-.65 of my listing price is what I pay in order to provide the customer with free shipping in the lower 48 states. Rocks will be shipped Priority Insured for in a Regional A box which is limited to 15 LB!
