    his is a one of a kind piece. This is the big master pattern after which all of "Freemasonry in Dover"plaques and signs were made.
    Thi
    s is the official approved master pattern sign. It is resin on wood and could be used for more castings if so desired or displayed as is.
    It is big. It measures approximately 30.5" by 28.5" and weighs over 6 pounds.
    The sign shows a the Masonic Square and Compasses logo and reads,
    "Freemasonry in Dover"
    "Freemasonry came to Dover August 26, 1775 with the formation of Old Lodge 19 A.V.M. which met until 1787. Union Lodge No. 7 was chartered June 24, 1809 and met until 1833. The charter was revived June 27, 1857 by the Grand Lodge of Delaware. A.F & A.M. and Freemasonry has been a part of the Dover Community since that date".
    It is in excellent condition. This was made by the Southwell Company in San Antonio Texas. They also made all the cast signs from this master.
