Vintage Shriner Brass Ashtray Ford Meter Wabash Indiana Masonic Shrine Ash Tray

This is a Shrine, or Shriner, emblem ashtray made of cast solid brass (it could be bronze) manufactured by the Ford Meter Box Co. of Wabash, Indiana, in the original box.  The brass ashtray is in VERY GOOD used condition, but the
re was apparently an ashtray insert made of (probably) glass, and there is NO INSERT present.  The ashtray measures 5 3/4 inches by 3 3/4 inches by 1 1/4 inches top to bottom, and it weighs 13.3 ounces.  The original box measures 6 1/8 inches by 4 1/4 inches by 1 1/4 inches.  The box is a bit worn and frayed at a couple of corners, but it has held up well over the years.  The box appears to be from the early 20th Century.  The brass ashtray needs to be shined up, but it has been left as found, and the buyer can decide.
